What happens to e-waste when it is recycled?

You may have a question in mind about what really happens to your old computer after we pick it up. You deserve to know about your thing. So, making it obvious, we break everything down into its basic materials so they can be used to build something new. Nothing goes to waste.

Metals
  • Steel & iron are found in computer cases and hard drives. We sent it to melt down, and afterwards, it can be used in the making of new cars, appliances, and construction materials.
  • Aluminium from laptop bodies and heat sinks. It gets recycled to make new cans, bike frames, and even new tech parts.
  • Valuable copper found in wiring and power supplies is recycled into new electrical wiring and pipes.

Circuit Boards

Circuit boards contain tiny amounts of precious metals.

  • Gold & silver are recovered from connectors and components. This is carefully extracted and refined to be used in new electronics and jewelry.
  • Palladium and other metals are also recovered and reused. It basically reduces the need for environmentally damaging mining.
